About Carla
Can we all just agree,
writing about yourself is the worst?
But you’re here and reading, and I may be with you on one of the most important days of your life, so here’s a little bit about me!
For as long as I can remember I’ve loved taking photographs. It’s a cliché I know, but like all good clichés, it’s true! I even went off to study it at The University for Creative Arts, and aside from mastering a skill in fancy dress creations and throwing down Jägerbombs, I learned the ropes of film, studio and documentary photography – truly an experience of a lifetime.
I’m very much a people person. I’ll get stuck in and have loads of fun on your wedding day – chatting away to your family, joking with your wedding party and, come the evening, you’ll find me on the dance floor immersed with your guests.
Home is a cute village in North Yorkshire. Being outdoors is where I’m at my happiest, on long walks with my husband Sam and our cocker spaniel Nelly (more about the boss later). I’m a real home bird and you’ll often find me binging on the latest crime drama or having a stab at some baking – give me a shout if you want the best recipe for a rhubarb crumble cake, it will blow your mind!
I love to travel and explore new cities, landscapes and cultures, skiing, snorkelling and catching the sunset with a beer.

Nelly, the one who’s in charge around here.
One flick of her long eyelashes and this ridiculous needy spaniel has us at her command. She’s the best company for long editing sessions when she’s not trying to steal my socks, and often pokes her head into my zoom calls (fomo much?!).
